6 things to do at home that make you happy!

In these crazy times it helps to focus on things that make you happy and give you hope. Don't you know what that is then? We will help you on your way ...

Read a book from your favorite genre. Do you like fantasy books or do you prefer psychology or science? Do what you feel like doing. Do you not want to tire yourself with 'the more conscious living'? Then just read your favorite book series. Maybe one that you used to read a lot as a child. Reviving old times. Go to the webshop of your local bookstore and support local entrepreneurs immediately by ordering a book. A book that has a hopeful message is Rutger Bregman's 'Most people are good'. But also, you don't expect it, 'Hope' by Joris Luyendijk is a good choice.

Watch a feel good movie together. As with books, this works the same with movies. But the nice thing is that you don't have to do this alone. Netflix now gives the opportunity to watch a movie together at the same time. For this you need to install 'Netflix Party' on your laptop. (This extension is free!) And voilà, now you can chat while laughing or crying together for a good (or bad) movie.

Send a card to people who are lonely. These could be refugees, the elderly or people from your neighborhood. Give these people a heart and let them know that you think of them. At the Kruidvat of Action you can very well buy a whole load of cards.

Write down your thoughts and share it with one of your friends or family. It is good to know that you are not really alone. Since you cannot see your friends and family now, it is difficult to gauge how someone is. Non-verbal communication is essential. So take matters into your own hands, be vulnerable and share your thoughts with your loved ones. (Sometimes that's easier online.)

Play online games with each other. Nowadays there are plenty of opportunities to create fun online. There are apps like WordFeud and Triviatrack. Do you want something more personal? Then play the game Pictionary via Skribbl or play UNO via UnoFreak. Do you have to create an account. 😉

And of course: BAKING! We prefer to do this at Grenzeloos. Make a tasty cake or cake for yourself, family, friends or neighbor. You have a creamy and healthy banana bread on the table. Use ripe bananas, because then the bread is naturally sweetened. What we also like to make is carrot cake. Here you add as much spices or sugar as you want. There are many variants! View on smulweb.nl for more inspiration.

There are still 101 things to do! We would therefore like to hear from you. What are the things you like to do to color your day or that of the other person? Let us know in the comments below!
